New Trials Await Cal Kestis in ‘Star Wars Jedi: Survivor’

I’m not ashamed to admit it: I have played through Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order no less than four times. Perhaps it’s because it was the first significant single-player Star Wars game in nearly a decade. Perhaps it was the strangely satisfying Souls-esque combat. Perhaps it was the characters, who were surprising new additions to the canon – particularly protagonist Cal Kestis and the villainous Second Sister. I’ve been hooked since the game’s 2019 release, and after watching the trailer – which debuted during The Game Awards – I’m itching to go for Round 5.

New enemies, allies, creatures and abilities now await Cal, who destroyed an important Jedi Holocron containing a list of Force-sensitive children at the conclusion of the last game to keep it out of the clutches of Darth Vader and his Inquisitors. But Cal’s work, it seems, is far from over.

EA’s Star Wars Jedi: Survivor arrives on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC on March 17, 2023. Watch the trailer below!

‘Star Wars: The Bad Batch’ Season 2 Trailer Features Plenty of Action, Giant Crabs

Yes, the new trailer for Star Wars: The Bad Batch has plenty going for it – quipping, explosions, cool vehicles, and Wanda Sykes – but the fact that it began with Hunter and the crew being pursued by GIANT FREAKIN’ CRABS means I’ve watched it no less than five times already. What can I say? I love Star Wars and seafood.

Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2 drops Jan. 4 on Disney+. Watch the trailer below!

‘Wonder Woman 3’ Reportedly Not Moving Forward

Just weeks after Warner Bros. announced a shift in leadership for its DC productions – with James Gunn and Peter Safran now heading up the newly formed DC Studios – THR now reports that Patty Jenkins’ Wonder Woman 3 is officially dead.

It’s no secret that Gunn and Safran are working to lay out a cohesive strategy for DC’s upcoming film slate, and it’s also no secret that Jenkins’ Wonder Woman 1984 was widely perceived as a narrative misfire following the fantastic 2017 original film. So this news isn’t entirely surprising. But what now?

On Tuesday, Gadot shared an Instagram post on the anniversary of her original Wonder Woman Batman v. Superman casting announcement that she was excited to share the “next chapter” in the character’s story. The THR story coming on the heels of that post is either a bizarre coincidence or perhaps confirmation that Gadot’s Diana Prince will be part of DC’s new direction even if the franchise’s director and plans for the third installment will not.

‘Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny’ Trailer Reveals De-Aged Indy, Teases Plot

Sallah’s BACK, baby!!!

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was missing a few things that made the classic three films, well, classic, but chief among them was Indy’s pal Sallah, played impeccably by John Rhys-Davies in both Raiders of the Lost Ark and The Last Crusade. He joins the returning Harrison Ford in globe-trotting – and potentially time-trotting – fifth installment of the franchise, titled Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny

New cast members include Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Mads Mikkelsen and Antonio Banderas. James Mangold (Logan) directs the film, which is the first Indy installment without Steven Spielberg at the helm.

Given our glimpse at a de-aged Indy and, of course, the “dial” mentioned in the title, it seems as though we might be bringing time travel into the mix. Will it work? I guess only time will tell.

See an elder Indy crack his whip and perhaps a jaw or two in the first trailer for Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, arriving in theaters June 30, 2023.

The Guardians Face the Music in First 'Vol. 3' Trailer

If horrific things happen to Rocket Raccoon in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, I will not be OK.

Marvel Studios dropped the first official trailer for the third and final Guardians of the Galaxy film – not counting the just-released (and hilarious) holiday special on Disney+ - and it looks like James Gunn is pulling out all the stops for the final film in the trilogy. Adam Warlock (Will Poulter) appears, as does Rocket’s soulmate Lylla and various shots of anguish set to “In the Meantime” by Spacehog. Oh, and we also see Drax totally destroy an alien child with a rubber ball.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 lands in theaters May 5, 2023. Watch the trailer below!
