New ‘Wakanda Forever’ Trailer Reveals First Look at New Black Panther

Following the tragic death of actor Chadwick Boseman, there has been rampant speculation as to how Marvel Studios will handle the wildly popular Black Panther character moving forward. A King T’Challa recast? A new hero assuming the mantle? A resurrected or alternate universe Killmonger becoming the new Black Panther?

Although the new trailer for Ryan Coogler’s anticipated Black Panther sequel Wakanda Forever doesn’t truly answer any questions, it does give fans their first look at who will be donning the Black Panther suit during at least one point in the film – and it’s definitely a woman.

One might presume that it’s Shuri (Letitia Wright) picking up where her big brother left off, but we won’t have a definite answer until the film arrives in theaters Nov. 11. But we do know based on what we see in the trailer that there will be INTENSE conflict between Wakanda’s Queen Ramonda and the Atlantean ruler Namor (Tenoch Huerta). We’re also introduced to Riri Williams (Dominique Thorne), who we see suited up and taking flight in her Ironheart suit for the first time ever.

The trailer aims to get us to buy tickets to Black Panther: Wakanda Forever – they’re now available – and honestly, after seeing what this film has in store, how could you not?!

Marvel Just Won At Everything

Even though it's not quite Halloween just yet, DC Entertainment must be absolutely terrified right about now.

In a fan event Tuesday, Marvel Studios unveiled Phase 3 of its Marvel Cinematic Universe, announcing a mind-boggling slate of movies through 2019. The expansive lineup includes Thor: Ragnarok, Captain America: Civil War, Guardians of the Galaxy 2, Dr. Strange, Captain Marvel, Black Panther, The Inhumans and a two-part Avengers sequel, Infinity War

Hearing about any one of these projects would be reason to celebrate, but Marvel Studios has gone ahead and dropped all of the nerd bombs in its arsenal, all at once. We're not just fortunate, True Believers. We're spoiled.
